I’m having a steroid flush, burning, sweating, hot nausea ugh. Might last one day might last a few. Guess I have to wait and see how much more of an asshole my body feels like being. Today’s course was comprised of a left lumbar spinal steroid infusion under fluoroscope to L4, L5, and S1. That part went excellent. I only felt a little bit, no screaming no crying, and over in a moment, it seemed. Textbook perfect!
Then I tried to stand up off of the table. Now my body got that signal and said with a hearty chuckle, hold my beer.
At first, I couldn’t walk at all. I couldn’t even feel my left leg. It was like having spaghetti for bones. I’m glad it didn’t last more than a couple of hours. But, now it seems my legs forgot again. Note I said “legs” my right side decided if the left didn’t have to work, well then she didn’t either. Sometimes those two just fight too much. Leaving me hanging on by my toenails.
Part of me wants to cry. The other side wishes for the energy to punch out some bread dough. Currently, I am working on getting to the freezer for an ice pack. While deeply desiring ben and jerry’s and wondering if there is enough chocolate in the world to care for this.
Did I mention when I attempted to stand up and put on my sweatshirt? I had no idea, nor could anyone else have known; I couldn’t feel my left leg until I tried. I could feel my foot but in-between those points, nada. So of course, I went right down on my left side. I’ve yet to look for bruises. I can feel some.
This is my 2nd or 3rd fall in the last six months, I think. Now maybe considering bubblewrap for a new jacket. does it come in a none seethrough version? Just thinking out the box, blahaha🙃
I shall return to my new mantra
I am a Roman Goddess.
I am a Roman Goddess
I am a Roman Goddess and a Zebra most definitely a Zebra.
Only those who are one or love one will understand. Hugs
