Exhibition Peaceful Rebellion – Opening Reception February 14th 5 pm – 7 pm.

Join us at our show Peaceful Rebellion on February 14th 5-7.
Event Overview:
“The story of of our experiences is told through art. Artwork can develop our sense of calm and ground us, it can call attention to the deeds and action of our communities, and it can provide perspective for the societal landscape we are navigating. Mosaic Art Collective invites local artists to submit work for Peaceful Rebellion. This open call is for works that celebrates the act of art making and the awareness and solace it provides us. We’re seeking original pieces in any medium in the scope of this theme.”

I am proud to say two of my pieces will be on display.

“Unmasked Healing,” This work is an act of peaceful rebellion against the societal pressure to hide the “broken” parts of ourselves. Having spent thousands of hours both providing emergency medical care and later enduring my own journey through the most painful diseases known to medicine, I have learned that healing is not about returning to a state of perfection, but about the radical visibility of our scars.

“Healthcare: The Cost of Living,” This work serves as a “Peaceful Rebellion” against a system that prioritizes corporate gain over human life. By placing the viewer at the base of two diverging paths—the organic, rooted tree of “Care” and the cold, towering monolith of “Profit”—I am highlighting the societal landscape we must navigate for survival.

Both will be on display in this juried exhibit! Visit Manchester’s Own Mosaic Art Collective!
